Stemming from India. Rooting in Humanity.

Our Genesis and Belief

When we were building Tulsyam, we were conscious of one thing from the very beginning, we wanted to build a sustainable brand. Not because it sounds cool, but because it feels right.

Our ideology has always leaned toward conscious living and away from mindless consumerism. That in itself is a paradox when you're building a D2C brand, and we sit with that dilemma every day. But we also knew we wanted to bring India and its ideas of humanity back into everyday life. Tulsyam felt like the right way to do it.

Tulsyam is drawn from Tulsi;
the Sanskrit word for Holy Basil, sacred for centuries as a symbol of purity and healing. The name doesn't exist in Sanskrit, yet it unmistakably belongs to it. That's who we are: taking the richness of something ancient and building something new from it.

Humans were the original inventors. They discovered fire. They tested every leaf, every root, every berry. They lived sustainably not because they were told to, but because it was the only intelligent way to exist.

India was a civilisation that knew how to live. Abundantly, freely, and in balance with the earth. Medicinal herbs weren't a wellness trend, they were Tuesday morning. Somewhere along the way, we forgot this. We are trying to bring it back.

We are young in spirit, ancient in wisdom.

How We Try to Be Sustainable

We pack our teas in tins so you can reuse them long after the tea is gone. Our products are zero micro-plastic. We parcel your orders in recycled and recyclable, non-bleached brown paper.

We do have a plastic outer wrap to seal and protect the teas, and we want to be upfront about that. We are actively exploring environmentally-friendly alternatives that don't make the product unaffordable. It is on our list and we are not letting it slide.

The Journey of Your Tea

We want you to trust us completely when you consume our teas. That kind of trust has to be earned, and it starts with how we handle what goes into your cup.

Our vendors hand-clean the teas at source. But when they arrive at our facility, they go through a rigorous process of hand sieving, sun drying, UV drying, and IR treatment.
We want you to consume our teas as cleanly as you consume food cooked at home. For us, hygiene and cleanliness are not optional — they are non-negotiable.

We source directly from people connected to farms: no middlemen, no shortcuts. Every tin of Tulsyam carries the patience of a farmer, the skill of a plucker, the care of an assorter, and the craft of a packer — and many unknown hands that made it possible for your cup to reach you.

When you choose Tulsyam, you're not just buying tea. You're choosing to value every pair of hands that made it possible.

We appreciate you for that.
Genuinely.
